- Microscale Energy Systems Transport Phenomena Laboratory: contains an automated PEM fuel cell test station (up to 100W), potentiostat, fluorescence microscopy and high speed imaging facilities for investigating microscale transport phenomena in low temperature fuel cells.
- Fuel Cell Materials & Manufacturing Laboratory: provides electrochemical impedance spectroscopy facilities for small currents along with materials fabrication and processing equipment, including plasma spray facilities that are used to fabricate SOFCs.
- Engine Research & Development Laboratory: contains test cells for multi- and singlecylinder engine research and dynamometer units for alternative fuel studies and will house the SOFC/ORC system.
- Flexible Energy & Electronics Laboratory: provides electrochemical testing facilities, environmental chamber and optical profilometry for battery and supercapacitor investigations.
- Energy Systems Laboratory: offers state of the art hardware for digital control and rapid prototyping of controllers for power electronic systems and motor drives.
- Sinton Lab in Fluidics & Energy: research in optofluidic bioenergy (photosynthetic bacteria for high density solar biofuel production) and microfluidics in carbon management (understanding carbon dioxide transport in carbon sequestration and carbon-intensive energy operations in Canada).
