Centre for Sustainable Energy Director David Sinton will be among the speakers at the CMC Industry Forum in Calgary, on October 17th and 18th.
Dr. Sinton will be presenting on the topic “Microfluidic reservoir fluid analysis and pore-scale visualization for enhanced oil recovery and carbon management.” In Canada, both our energy resources and carbon storage opportunities are in microscale pores underground. Fluid testing at the microscale provides reservoir-relevant conditions and leverages benefits of high-speed, low-cost suitability for high pressures, and excellent temperature/pressure control. Dr. Sinton will share the findings on the small-scale, fluid testing systems approach based on microfluidics.
