Rapid Carbon Dioxide - Water Diffusion Measurement The basis of this project is to inform sequestration models by providing reactivity data for the CO2-water and CO2-brine systems prevalent in underground aquifers. I am looking into identifying which factors affect the diffusion coefficient (salinity, pressure, and temperature) corresponding to different reservoir conditions. We have developed to date an effect measurement mechanism based on microfluidic methodologies that allows us to make these measurements very quickly, and obtain data that is in good agreement with published literature data.
