My research focuses on designing of a microfluidic reactor to perform Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) that converts wet biomass into biocrude without extensive energy consuming drying process. With the application of microfluidic reactor, we are able to visualize the conversion process and perform systematic studies on HTL which its chemistry is not clear yet. The goal of my work is to understand the chemical reactions and consequently optimise biofuel production by parameter control.
